Change will come!

We reached a decision yesterday. We decided that our country needed to move in a very different direction. We decided it was time to elect, and follow, a leader that is not lily white, in more ways than one.

We have had other presidents who were not perfect in thought and deed. That did not make them bad presidents. It did not make the leaders who were ineffective. This time around we have chosen a man who adds one more layer to that cake. Obama is not perfect in thought and deed. He has admitted that openly. What makes Obama different is that he is black. Yes, we have elected a black person to be the president of our country. You may not have noticed that he is black, but it is true.

I just hope that the people will give him a fair chance to accomplish what he has layed out. The man will be under tremendous pressure. More than any president in our history. Never before have we had a president who had to deal with two wars, and economic crisis, and an energy crisis all at the same time. He will be trying to deal with those issues, and be under the constant cloud of racism. Barak Obama will be watched like no other. There will be those who pray for him to faulter. They will be looking for the least little thing to criticize him for, just because he is black.

I hope with all my heart that the wise people, who voted for him, will now stand firmly beside him; while he begins to bring our country back from this very bleak period in our history.

I wanted to be able to say things right today, so I had some help from my mom.

Hi Frankie,
I know you must be in a very happy home to-day, I am not going to comment on the result, because I do not know enough about the man,
But I applaud the American people for electing a black man to the top job. When just a few generations ago, there were many parts of america he could not go.
Only time will tell.
The only thing I know for sure is that, even if a person or people like us, do not like the man, they should still respect the "Office"
Maybe when my Mum comes home from her visit, she will be able to tell me more.
Untill next time lots of wags from me.
